Cardinal Sins publishes work from writers and artists all around the world. It is a student-run literary arts journal based out of Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan.
Cardinal Sins is published twice a year. Each issue features general submissions that were accepted through a blind judging process. Themed / genre contest winners and honorable mentions are also published within the corresponding journal issue.
Cardinal Sins placed first in the American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA) Contest in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2015. It placed first with special merit through ASPA in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2017. In 2016 and 2017, ASPA also named Cardinal Sins the Most Outstanding College Literary-Art Magazine.
