Cardinal Sins is a literary arts journal that publishes work from writers and artists all around the world. It's run by passionate students based out of Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan. Cardinal Sins publishes two issues a year. Each issue features general submissions that were accepted through a blind judging process. First-place category winners are highlighted in the corresponding issue.
Cardinal Sins placed first in the American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA) Contest in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2015. It placed first with special merit through ASPA in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2020. In 2016 and 2017, ASPA also named Cardinal Sins the Most Outstanding College Literary-Art Magazine.
